Gurugram 3BL readies for Cergy Challenger in France
- 3BL Season 2 Champion ‘Gurugram 3BL’ team is currently in France to participate in FIBA 3×3 World Tour Challenger events.
- In the national 3BL league, the ‘Gurugram 3BL’ team is known as ‘Gurugram Masters’ and is owned by Mr Vikas Bansal and Mr Rajeev Tiwari.
- The ‘Notorious Games Cergy-Pontoise Challenger 2021’ will be held on 10-11 July.
- The team will tip off its campaign against Switzerland’s Lausanne Sport at 7:15pm IST (10th July) followed by Belgium’s Antwerp at 12:00 am IST (11th July).
- The entire FIBA 3×3 Cergy Challenger 2021 event will be Live Streamed on the FIBA 3×3 Youtube Channel.
Delhi/France, 9 July 2021: ‘Gurugram 3BL’ is all set to take part in its second FIBA 3×3 World Tour Challenger event in France.

The ‘Notorious Games Cergy-Pontoise Challenger 2021’ will be held in Cergy, Val-d’Oise on 10-11 July.
Gurugram 3BL will tip off its campaign against Switzerland’s Lausanne Sport at 7:15pm IST (10th July) followed by Belgium’s Antwerp at 12:00 am IST (11th July).
The entire FIBA 3×3 Cergy-Pontoise Challenger 2021 event is expected to be Live Streamed on the FIBA 3×3 Youtube Channel.
Besides the 3×3 games, a three-point contest is also scheduled, in which Kiran Shastri will be representing Gurugram 3BL.
Last weekend in their first Challenger event in Poitiers, Gurugram 3BL had started on a winning note in the Qualifying Draw, beating the host team 19-16. Thereafter, Gurugram 3BL fought hard against a tall and physical Raudondvaris Tauras team from Lithuania before losing 16-21.
“We are very new together. I feel like we are going to be really good. We have all the pieces and talent, we just need to put it together. I am really excited for this weekend and I think we are going to make some noise,” Steven Wesley, Gurugram 3BL’s newest team member, said on this week’s ‘3BL Talks’.
About Gurugram 3BL/Gurugram Masters
‘Gurugram 3BL’ competes as ‘Gurugram Masters’ in India’s national 3×3 Pro Basketball League (‘3BL’). The team currently comprises Indian origin stars Bikramjit Gill, Inderbir Singh Gill, Kiran Shastri alongside Steven Wesley. While Bikramjit Gill is from Canada, Inderbir Singh Gill, Kiran Shastri and Steven Wesley are from the United States.
The team is owned by Mr Vikas Bansal and Mr Rajeev Tiwari. It is participating in 2021 FIBA 3×3 World Tour Challengers events by virtue of being the Champion team in 3BL Season 2, as well as the combined ranking points of its individual team members.

About the Notorious Games Cergy-Pontoise Challenger 2021
Sixteen teams have registered to participate and Gurugram 3BL is in Main Pool D alongside Switzerland’s Lausanne Sports and Belgium’s Antwerp.
The top two teams from each Pool proceed to the knockout games starting from the Quarterfinals and culminating in the Finals.

The top two teams from the Cergy-Pontoise Challenger will qualify for the Montreal Masters in September.
