In a repeat of Round 1, Gurugram Masters beat Bangalore Machas in the finals of Round 3, to be crowned  3BL Men\u2019s Conference \u2018A\u2019 champs<\/em><\/p>

Chandigarh, 12<\/strong>th <\/sup><\/strong>March 2022: <\/strong>Led by the Indian-origin duo of Inderbir Gill and Bikramjit Gill, Gurugram Masters claimed their second \u2018Round\u2019 title in Conference A of 3BL. \u20183BL\u2019, the only 3X3 Professional Basketball League in India is backed by the Basketball Federation of India and the International Basketball Federation (FIBA). The third season is being played at the Hotel Wyndham Chandigarh Mohali from 8th<\/sup> \u2013 21st<\/sup> March 2022 and is seeing participation from top national and international men\u2019s and women\u2019s 3X3 basketball players. <\/p>

Masters beat Machas 21-17 in the finals<\/strong><\/p>

The finals was an enthralling game of runs, as Gurugram Masters \u2013the defending champions from Season 2 \u2013 built an early 7-1 lead. Bangalore Machas \u2013 with all four of its members having played on the Indian national team \u2013 fought back to trail within one, 6-7. <\/p>

Thereafter, Masters went on another 5-0 scoring spree only to see Machas claw back, courtesy Himanshu Sharma\u2019s back to back two pointers. <\/p>

Throughout the game, an intense battle ensued under the basket, between forwards Bikramjit and Machas\u2019 Arvind Arumugam. Eventually, Bikramjit prevailed, stealing the ball from Arumugam to ice the game with an emphatic dunk. Bikramjit would also be named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) for this round.<\/p>

This was the second meeting between Masters and Machas in this very same round. Earlier in the league stages too, Masters had beaten Machas 21-19, to top their pool.<\/p>

\u201cAll the players feel very good to get an opportunity to both watch and play in a professional league after a very long time. It will be good for all the Indian team players if this [3BL League] continues,\u201d said Bangalore Machas\u2019 Himanshu Sharma.<\/p>

About 3×3 Pro Basketball League (\u20183BL\u2019) Season 3<\/strong><\/p>

3BL is India\u2019s only Basketball Federation of India (BFI) and International Basketball Federation (FIBA) backed3x3 Pro Basketball League. The third season of the League is underway in Chandigarh, between 8-21 March 2022, and will take place over six two-day rounds. <\/p>

Besides the chance to win each round, top teams also get the exclusive opportunity to compete at FIBA 3×3\u2019s international circuit such as Challengers and World Tours.<\/p>
