In India\u2019s national 3×3 Pro Basketball League (\u20183BL\u2019), the \u2018Gurugram 3BL\u2019 team is known as \u2018Gurugram Masters\u2019 and is owned by Mr <\/em>Vikas Bansal<\/em><\/a> and Mr <\/em>Rajeev Tiwari<\/em><\/a>.<\/em><\/p>

Gurugram 3BL is the reigning champion of 3BL, comprising Indian origin stars Bikramjit Gill, Inderbir Singh Gill, Kiran Shastri alongside Steven Wesley.<\/em><\/p>

They are currently in Netherlands to compete in multiple \u20183x3NL Tour 2021\u2019 events.<\/em><\/p>

The 3×3 Pro Cup will be held in Utrecht, Netherlands on 14-15 August.<\/em><\/p>

The Gurugram 3BL in action on 14<\/em>th<\/sup><\/em> August against the Netherlands U21 Men\u2019s team at 3:50pm IST, followed by against Rotterdam at 6:50pm IST. The semifinals and finals too will be held later that same night.<\/em><\/p>

3BL is India\u2019s first and only professional basketball league in the shorter 3×3 format, that has exclusive rights from the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) and the National Federation (BFI).<\/em><\/p>

Two Seasons of 3BL have been successfully conducted so far, and the dates for the upcoming Season 3 will be announced keeping in mind COVID related health & safety protocols.<\/em><\/p>

On 14th<\/sup> August, the side will face the U21 Netherlands National team at 3:50pm IST, followed by against Rotterdam at 6:50pm.<\/p>

Placed in Elite Pool B, Gurugram 3BL will be gunning to win both its games to progress to the semifinals to be played later in the same day (i.e. 14th<\/sup> August).<\/p>

Third-Straight \u20183x3NL Tour\u2019 Triumph on the Cards?<\/strong><\/p>

Ever since arriving in Netherlands nearly a month ago, Gurugram 3BL has been in red-hot form in the \u20183x3NL Tour 2021\u2019 events. It has won both its previous two tournaments in Katwijk<\/a> (24th<\/sup> July) and Heerenveen<\/a> (31st<\/sup> July).<\/p>

The victory at the 3×3 Pro Cup in Heereveen assured Gurugram 3BL a spot in the FIBA 3×3 World Tour Challenger event to be held in Utrecht on 19-20 September. <\/p>

In other words, at tomorrow\u2019s 3×3 Pro Cup in Utrecht, Gurugram 3BL will be playing for nothing more than pride and prize money, hoping to end their Netherlands sojourn on a winning note, before returning to India.<\/p>

In the Indian National 3BL league, the \u2018Gurugram 3BL\u2019 team is known as \u2018Gurugram Masters\u2019 and it won the title in Season 2. The team is owned by Mr Vikas Bansal<\/a> and Mr Rajeev Tiwari<\/a>. The Gurugram Masters team secured the Qualifying Draw in the 2021 FIBA 3×3 World Tour Challengers events by virtue of being the Champion team in 3BL Season 2, as well as the combined ranking points of its individual team members.<\/p>

On the international circuit, the Gurugram Masters team is branded as \u2018Gurugram 3BL<\/a>\u2019. It comprises Indian origin stars Bikramjit Gill, Inderbir Singh Gill, Kiran Shastri alongside Steven Wesley. While Bikramjit Gill<\/a> is from Canada, Inderbir  Singh Gill<\/a>, Kiran Shastri<\/a> and Steven Wesley<\/a> are from the United States. <\/p>

3×3 Basketball is the fastest and shortest format of Basketball in the world. All you need is one hoop, a half-court and six players. Games can be staged outdoor and indoor in iconic locations to bring basketball directly to the people. It\u2019s a 10-minute game. Highest score in 10 minutes or first team to score 21 points wins. 3×3 is not only FIBA\u2019s second official discipline but will be played at the Tokyo 2021 Olympics, the Commonwealth Games \u2013 Birmingham 2022 and at the Paris 2024 Olympics.<\/p>
