{"id":7848,"date":"2021-07-27T16:05:12","date_gmt":"2021-07-27T10:35:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.3x3bl.com\/?p=7848"},"modified":"2021-07-27T16:05:15","modified_gmt":"2021-07-27T10:35:15","slug":"indias-champion-3x3-basketball-team-gurugram-3bl-to-compete-in-netherlands-tour","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/3bljapan.com\/ja\/indias-champion-3x3-basketball-team-gurugram-3bl-to-compete-in-netherlands-tour\/","title":{"rendered":"India\u2019s Champion 3&#215;3 Basketball team \u2018Gurugram 3BL\u2019 to compete in Netherlands Tour"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>3BL Season 2 Champion \u2018Gurugram 3BL\u2019 team comprising Indian origin stars Bikramjit Gill, Inderbir Singh Gill, Kiran Shastri alongside Steven Wesley is in Netherlands for multiple \u20183x3NL Tour 2021\u2019 events.<\/em><\/p><p><em>In the national 3BL league, the \u2018Gurugram 3BL\u2019 team is known as \u2018Gurugram Masters\u2019<\/em> <em>and is owned by Mr <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/VikasbansalEF\"><em>Vikas Bansal<\/em><\/a><em> and Mr <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/rajeev-tiwari-7139565\/\"><em>Rajeev Tiwari<\/em><\/a><em>.<\/em><\/p><p><em>Their first tournament in Netherlands will be in Katwijk on 24th July, with Gurugram 3BL\u2019s two pool games tipping off at 8:30pm &amp; 9:50pm IST vs local Netherland teams \u2018SlamandSplashFam\u2019 and \u2018DRRReries\u2019 respectively.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p><p><em>3&#215;3 Pro Basketball League (3BL) is India\u2019s first and only professional basketball league in the shorter 3&#215;3 format, that has exclusive rights from the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) and the National Federation (BFI).<\/em><\/p><p><em>Two Seasons of 3BL have been successfully conducted so far, and the dates for the upcoming Season 3 will be announced keeping in mind COVID related health &amp; safety protocols.<\/em><\/p><p><strong>Delhi\/Netherlands, 24<\/strong><strong><sup>th<\/sup><\/strong><strong> July 2021: <\/strong>After competing in France, the Gurugram 3BL team is now in Netherlands to participate in the \u20183x3NL Tour 2021\u2019.<\/p><p>The Gurugram 3BL team will be competing in the following tournaments as part of the \u20183x3NL Tour 2021\u2019:<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>3x3NL Tour in Katwijk on 24th July, 2021<\/li><li>3x3NL Pro Cup in Barneveld* (<em>subject to confirmation<\/em>) on 31st July, 2021<\/li><li>Two separate 3x3NL Masters tournaments in Utrecht on 14th &amp; 15th August, 2021 (<em>which will be Live Streamed<\/em>)<\/li><\/ul><p>Among these tournaments, the ones on 31<sup>st<\/sup> July and 14<sup>th<\/sup> August are especially significant as they act as pre-qualifiers for the FIBA 3&#215;3 World Tour 2021 Challenger event scheduled in Utrecht later this September.<\/p><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>About the 3x3NL Katwijk tournament on 24<\/strong><strong><sup>th<\/sup><\/strong><strong> July<\/strong><\/h3><p>3x3NL Katwijk is part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball.nl\/3x3\/3x3-evenementen\/3x3nl\/english-information\/\">3x3NL Tour 2021<\/a>, the Open 3&#215;3 basketball championships of the Netherlands. There are 33 participating teams across different categories, and Gurugram 3BL is in the \u2018Elite Men\u2019 category.<\/p><p>There are six teams in the <a href=\"https:\/\/play.fiba3x3.com\/categories\/5c394745-7fe0-4001-b9c4-6bbabd174dd8\/overview\">Elite Men category<\/a>, and Gurugram 3BL is in Pool A. The top two teams from each Pool progress to the knock-out stage.&nbsp;<\/p><p>As the only foreign team in its Pool, Gurugram 3BL\u2019s first game will be against Netherland\u2019s SlamandSplashFam on 24<sup>th<\/sup> July at 8:30pm IST, followed by against DRRReries at 9:50pm.<\/p><p><em>Further tournament details can be accessed <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/play.fiba3x3.com\/events\/3ce2da7e-a163-4023-8030-ef4f333001a9\"><em>here<\/em><\/a><em>.<\/em><\/p><p><strong>Training with Dutch National Teams<\/strong><\/p><p>Since 16<sup>th<\/sup> July, the Gurugram 3BL team has been training with the Dutch 3&#215;3 National teams. They even \u2018scrimmaged\u2019 with the Olympic bound 3&#215;3 Senior Men\u2019s Dutch team for a day followed by sessions with the U23 team and&nbsp; with other international 3&#215;3 players in Amsterdam.<\/p><p>\u201cJust being able to practice with fellow 3&#215;3 players and having coaches around has been great.
